I called it. I totally called it.
Two posts ago I wrote a fairly pessimistic blurb that spun good news into bad news. You can find it here.
At the end of it I wrote: "So, whatever. This is the latest in a series of spikes of hope. I fully expect our upstairs neighbor's toilet to burst tonight."
That was Tuesday. I write this at the end of Saturday.
This morning I got up before I was fully ready to and went to Kinko's. I spent too much money to print off a few dozen fliers to distribute around Old Town. It was a beautiful morning for that project(more on that later) and I could have spent a lot more time working on it, but then my wife called to say, "Hey, guess what? Something broke in the condo above us and water's leaking into our bedroom and kitchen."
I just think it's hilarious. The bright side is that I can predict the future. I may be a prophet. We've spent the last six months or so upgrading the place. Nothing major, just paint, faceplates, some shelves, etc. The kitchen was kind of a pain because of all the nooks and crannies. Grace spent an extraordinary amount of time with the electrical stuff, and some of it inexplicably doesn't work now. And then, this.
A picture is worth a thousand words, so video is worth a billion according to my math. Here are a couple of videos explaining the latest episode in our drama. Lol. Life is HIGH-larious.
First video: The Discovery.
Second video: Oh, whatever.

Christopher,
I don't know whether to laugh or cry. That sucks man.
Hey, I'd love to hear about the flier campaign you have going. I'm about to get ready to put some fliers out myself and can't wait to hear about your experience with it.

Grace is beautiful!!!
I had no idea. I cannot wait to see how lovely the little one will be...
God bless you, both!
Thanks, Lori. Grace is the reason I can take all these challenges in stride. She's got beauty AND brains, and no small amount of "spunk."
