Market Watch

Just got off of the phone with my Hard Money Lender (HML). I called to get an answer to a real question I had, but I also just wanted to connect with someone in the business--particularly someone fully invested in it as he is.

He basically told me what I'm already seeing--one of the top places for potentially fantastic deals has a huge inventory right now. The latest "heartbreaker" was located at the epicenter of this area. I asked the HML if and when he thought banks would stop being stingy and unload some of their properties. He basically said "Oh, six months or so..." I know--I don't expect him to have a crystal ball, but still...

Your site is great! Your background in grant writing shines through, as it's very well written. I'm new to the DC area and have been scouting it out. Haven't made my move yet, but I've been a lurker on FlippingHomes.com for a while. What area of huge inventory are you looking to invest in? From my reading I think Prince George's County,MD will be a gold mine. Tks for the site, Keep up the good work.

Thanks, Tony! I appreciate the kind words. What I lack in real estate expertise I try to make up for in humorous rhetoric.

I'm trying to invest in the Arlington/Alexandria area, but the banks so far have been deal blockers. What's a guy gotta do? Take their ugly sisters to the prom?
